The BackroomsIf you're not careful and noclip out of reality in the wrong areas, you'll end up in the Backrooms, where it's nothing but the stink of old moist carpet, the madness of mono-yellow, the endless background noise of fluorescent lights at maximum hum-buzz, and approximately six hundred million square miles of randomly segmented empty rooms to be trapped in. God save you if you hear something wandering around nearby, because it sure as hell has heard you.~ Anonymous on /x/
The Backrooms: Convergence is an extension of The Backrooms: Pantheon, taking place in an alternate universe within the same narrative. Its overarching story revolves around the many schemes orchestrated among an ancient royal court of gods.
Convergence is oriented towards fantasy, action and grandiosity, a stark contrast to most other depictions of The Backrooms. It explores the idea that the corrupted and “liminal” state of The Backrooms resulted from the folly of gods, who have long since fallen from their former glory and are faced with the aftermath and burden of their mistakes. This canon features powerful characters, epic worldbuilding, mythological tone, and a slew of theories and speculations to create a mysterious atmosphere.
